Rev Dr Ian McEwan

Ian was ordained and inducted as the minister of Baljaffray in May 2008. He came to the ministry from a professional background in engineering and science and has worked as a lecturer in Aberdeen University and also as an engineer in industry. Ian is married to Edith and they have four boys.

When asked for his thoughts on being a minister, Ian said, "Being the minister of Baljaffray is a real privilege. There is a feeling of purpose and energy about the church and its people that I could sense right from the outset. The Bible talks about the church as being a group of people seeking to use all their different gifts in serving Jesus Christ. That’s the sort of church we want to be."
